Kawasaki’s middleweight sports icon gets a refreshed racing-inspired look and tech upgrades for 2025.

Kawasaki India has officially launched the 2025 Ninja 650 KRT Edition at a price of ₹7.27 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest iteration of the popular middleweight sportbike comes with cosmetic updates inspired by the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) along with upgraded rider-focused technology.

Bold New Design

The Ninja 650 KRT Edition carries forward the aggressive stance of the standard Ninja 650 with its familiar twin headlamp setup. However, the 2025 version introduces a striking new white, yellow, and black racing-inspired livery, applied to the fairing and headlamp unit. These updates set it apart visually while maintaining the classic Ninja DNA.

Tech Upgrades & Rider Aids

A key addition is the 4.3-inch TFT colour display, offering improved rider-bike interaction. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to pair their smartphones for calls, notifications, and ride data.

The bike is equipped with full LED lighting and advanced rider aids including:

  • Traction Control System (KRTC) with two modes:
    • Mode 1: Less intrusive, ideal for cornering.
    • Mode 2: Engages earlier to reduce wheel spin, useful in wet conditions.
  • Riders also have the option to switch off traction control for a more raw experience.
  • Standard ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) ensures safety under hard braking.

Suspension & Braking

The Ninja 650 KRT Edition is built on a trellis frame, with suspension duties handled by 41 mm telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking hardware includes:

  • Twin 300 mm dual-piston disc brakes (front)
  • Single 220 mm petal disc (rear) with single-piston caliper

Engine & Performance

Under the fairing, the bike continues with the trusted 649 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing:

  • 67 hp at 8,000 rpm
  • 65 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch for smoother gear shifts and reduced clutch effort.

Final Word

With its refreshed KRT racing livery, improved tech features, and proven performance engine, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition enhances its appeal for Indian enthusiasts seeking a stylish, reliable, and race-inspired middleweight sportbike.
