New Delhi, September 2, 2025: Hyundai is gearing up to launch the next-generation Venue, and a new test mule spotted in Tamil Nadu has revealed key details about its interiors and exterior design. The popular sub-compact SUV, first launched in 2019, is set for a generational upgrade after receiving only minor updates in 2022.
Fresh Exterior Design
The camouflaged test vehicle was seen with several new styling elements, including:
- Dark-themed alloy wheels (painted black in the test car)
- Refreshed shark-fin antenna
- Rear parking sensors
- Radar for ADAS suite at the front
- New LED headlamps and tail-lamps
Hyundai has also reworked the front and rear bumpers, introduced a larger grille, and slightly reshaped the body lines. The updated design brings the Venue closer to the styling language of the Creta and Alcazar, while retaining its compact SUV identity.
Upgraded Interiors
The biggest highlight of the spy video is the upgraded cabin. The next-gen Venue is expected to feature:
- Two high-quality digital displays – one for the infotainment system and one for instrumentation
- Digital speedometer and tachometer with selectable display themes
- Central display for vital information such as tyre pressure, fuel efficiency, and trip details
The overall layout and color scheme appear more premium compared to the outgoing Venue, which had a more basic driver display.
Hyundai is also expected to add new premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, on top of existing equipment like premium audio, ventilated seats, wireless charging, automatic climate control, and single-pane sunroof.
Powertrain Expectation
The upcoming Venue is unlikely to see major engine changes. It is expected to continue with the current three engine options:
- 1.0L turbo-petrol
- 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol
- 1.5L diesel
Both manual and automatic transmission options will be retained. However, Hyundai may consider introducing a diesel-automatic variant, which the Venue’s cousin, the Kia Sonet, already offers.
Pricing and Launch
The current Hyundai Venue is priced between ₹7.94 lakh and ₹13.62 lakh (ex-showroom). With the addition of new features and upgraded interiors, the next-gen model is expected to carry a slight premium. The launch is anticipated later this year.
Conclusion
The next-generation Hyundai Venue is shaping up to be a more premium and tech-loaded SUV, with upgraded interiors, improved features, and a refreshed design. With its strong brand value and added ADAS safety tech, the Venue is likely to remain one of the most popular choices in the competitive sub-four-metre SUV segment.
