Honda is giving bike lovers a big reason to cheer. The company has officially cut prices of its popular Honda CB300R and Honda CB300F motorcycles, thanks to the new GST 2.0 reforms. The move makes both bikes far more attractive in the competitive 300cc segment, with savings going up to a massive ₹21,000.
GST Benefits Now Passed to Riders
Earlier this month, Honda had already reduced prices on several bikes up to 350cc, with cuts ranging between ₹7,847 and ₹18,887. But the CB300R and CB300F were not included in that list. Now, Honda has confirmed the revised pricing for both models, passing the full benefit of GST 2.0 directly to customers.
This is a smart move as it helps Honda position its 300cc bikes better against rivals like KTM, TVS, Triumph, Bajaj, and Hero.
Honda CB300R: Price Cut by ₹21,000
The biggest highlight is the price drop of the Honda CB300R, which is now ₹2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Before the cut, it was selling at ₹2.40 lakh. This makes the CB300R cheaper than Triumph Speed 400 (₹2.50 lakh) and even undercuts the TVS Apache RTR 310 (₹2.21 lakh). The price gap with the KTM 250 Duke (₹2.12 lakh) is now minimal, giving buyers more options to consider.
The CB300R first arrived in India back in 2019. It had to be withdrawn temporarily due to BS6 emission norms but made a comeback in 2022 in a BS6-compliant avatar. At that time, the bike was priced at ₹2.77 lakh, higher than the BS4 price of ₹2.41 lakh.
Then in 2023, Honda revised the price again, bringing it down to ₹2.40 lakh by increasing localization. And now, thanks to GST 2.0, the CB300R is at its most affordable ever at ₹2.19 lakh.
Honda CB300R: Design and Features
The CB300R is known for its neo-retro styling. It gets a round LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank, sleek side panels, and minimalist lines. Despite being compact, the bike carries a premium aura.
Power comes from a 286cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine producing 31 hp and 27.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It also offers assist and slipper clutch, golden USD forks, traction control, and a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity.
With the revised price, the CB300R is now one of the best value-for-money neo-retro options in the 300cc class.
Honda CB300F: Price Cut by ₹15,000
The Honda CB300F has also received a major price cut. Thanks to GST 2.0, the bike now starts at just ₹1.55 lakh (ex-showroom), down from ₹1.70 lakh. This makes it the most affordable option in its segment.
For comparison, the Bajaj Dominar 250 costs ₹1.77 lakh, and the Hero Xtreme 250R is priced at ₹1.66 lakh. Honda clearly has the edge when it comes to pricing.
The CB300F had an interesting journey in India. It was originally launched at ₹2.29 lakh, but in 2022 Honda dealers offered a massive discount of ₹50,000 to boost sales. In 2023, Honda officially slashed the price to ₹1.70 lakh. Now with the latest ₹15,000 reduction, the bike sits at an unbeatable entry point for buyers looking for a stylish and affordable 300cc motorcycle.
Honda CB300F: Engine and Highlights
The CB300F uses a 293cc, air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 24 hp and 25.6 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch for smooth gear shifts.
Honda also launched a flex-fuel version in 2024, which can run on E85 fuel (15% petrol, 85% ethanol blend). Interestingly, the flex-fuel CB300F is priced the same as the standard version, at ₹1.55 lakh.
This makes the CB300F not just the most affordable but also one of the most future-ready bikes in its class.
