Introduction

Car buyers in India have a reason to celebrate. Maruti Suzuki has announced major price cuts across its SUV lineup following the government’s new GST reform on passenger vehicles. The changes will take effect from September 22, 2025, and they make some of the most popular Maruti SUVs more affordable than ever.

The revised prices cover the Fronx, Brezza, Jimny, Grand Vitara, and Invicto. Depending on the model and variant, buyers can save anywhere from ₹30,000 to more than ₹1.1 lakh.

Fronx Gets the Biggest Price Drop

The Maruti Fronx has emerged as the biggest beneficiary of the GST revision. Higher-end turbo petrol trims see the largest cuts, with prices reduced by up to ₹1.11 lakh.

For example, the entry-level 1.2 Sigma and Delta trims now cost ₹65,000–₹73,000 less. Meanwhile, the premium 1.0 Turbo MHEV Zeta AT is now priced at ₹11 lakh, down by ₹1.03 lakh.

This makes the Fronx far more competitive in the compact SUV market, where pricing is a key factor for younger buyers and first-time SUV owners.

Brezza Sees Up to ₹48,000 Reduction

The hugely popular Maruti Brezza has also received a price correction. Depending on the variant, the drop ranges from ₹30,000 to ₹48,000.

The base LXI 1.5L MT is now priced at ₹8.39 lakh, cheaper by ₹30,000. On the other end, the premium ZXI+ AT trim now costs ₹13.5 lakh, a reduction of ₹48,000.

This adjustment strengthens the Brezza’s value-for-money appeal in a market where it already enjoys strong demand.

Jimny Becomes More Affordable

The lifestyle-oriented Maruti Jimny has also benefitted from the reform. Price cuts here range from ₹44,000 to ₹52,000, making the 4×4 SUV more attractive for enthusiasts.

The Zeta MT now costs ₹12.32 lakh (down by ₹44,000), while the top-spec Alpha AT is priced at ₹14.29 lakh, cheaper by ₹52,000.

For a model often considered niche, this correction may help the Jimny reach a wider audience.

Grand Vitara Benefits Across Variants

Maruti’s mid-size SUV, the Grand Vitara, has seen savings between ₹36,000 and ₹68,000 across its range. This includes mild-hybrid (MHEV), CNG, and strong-hybrid versions.

The top-end Alpha+ (O) AT AllGrip is now priced at ₹18.96 lakh, lower by ₹68,000. The strong-hybrid E-CVT variants have also become cheaper by ₹39,000–₹43,000.

With these corrections, the Grand Vitara gains stronger positioning against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Invicto Gets ₹54,000 to ₹61,000 Price Cuts

Even Maruti’s premium MPV, the Invicto, has been included in the price revision.

The Zeta+ 7-seater and 8-seater trims now cost ₹54,000 less, while the flagship Alpha+ 7-seater has seen the highest reduction of ₹61,000, bringing the price down to ₹28.61 lakh.

This makes the Invicto a more appealing choice in the premium MPV space, where it competes with Toyota’s Innova Hycross.

Why These Price Cuts Matter

The timing of these reductions is crucial. With the festive season approaching, carmakers usually see a surge in sales. By lowering prices now, Maruti Suzuki is giving its SUVs a stronger push in the market.

For buyers, the benefits are clear. The Fronx is now more budget-friendly, the Brezza offers better value, the Jimny becomes easier to justify, and both the Grand Vitara and Invicto are now more competitive in their segments.

Final Thoughts

The government’s GST reform has given Maruti Suzuki the chance to pass on significant savings to customers. By slashing prices across its SUV lineup, the company is not only making its cars more accessible but also strengthening its grip on the market.

With reductions of up to ₹1.11 lakh, these SUVs are now positioned more attractively against their rivals. Expect demand to rise sharply, especially during the upcoming festive season.

For buyers waiting for the right time, this might be the perfect moment to drive home a new Maruti SUV.
