Samsung has confirmed the launch of a new Galaxy S24 variant in India, this time powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor. The move comes ahead of the country’s festive season, with sales expected to begin during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale starting September 23.
The Galaxy S24 was originally introduced in India last year with the Exynos 2400 chipset, while Snapdragon-powered versions were limited to select international markets. This marks the first time Indian customers will get the Snapdragon edition of the flagship.
Although Samsung has not revealed the official launch date or pricing, the phone is expected to go on sale during the festive sale window. It will be available in four colour options — Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Amber Yellow, and Cobalt Violet.
Galaxy AI Features
As a flagship in Samsung’s S-series, the Galaxy S24 comes loaded with Galaxy AI features, including:
- Live Translate: Real-time, two-way translation of voice calls and texts within the native app.
- Interpreter: Split-screen live translation for in-person conversations, working without internet.
- Chat Assist: Translation, tone adjustment, and writing suggestions for messages.
- Note Assist: AI-powered summaries and templates for structured note-taking.
- Now Bar: Real-time contextual updates on the lock screen.
- AI editing tools: Options like erase, re-compose, remaster, and generative editing to expand or modify images.
The device is also eligible for the upcoming Android 16-based One UI 8 update, with beta testing already underway.
